Jeff has been passionate about innovative technology for over 25 years while developing expertise in business development, sales, market assessment, operations and executive leadership. For the past 13 years he has focused exclusively on early stage companies in markets including network security, VOIP, and more recently Big Data.
Jeff started his career with NCR Corporation where he spent 8 years in the Data Services Division until NCR’s acquisition by AT&T in 1991. He then moved to Oracle in the applications division successfully focusing on major Telco’s in the western US and Latin America. In 1997 he joined Netscape Communications as a Regional Sales Manager for Central US. He led the central sales region team increasing revenues from under $5M to $33M. Netscape was acquired by AOL in 1998 for $6+ Billion.
Later, in 2012 , after an additional four years managing growth for network security companies, he joined Precog as COO. A Techstars graduate, Precog built a SaaS data science platform. Jeff led all sales, finance, and operations from pre-launch, thru beta and into revenue generation leading to the company being acquired by Rich Relevance in August 2013.
Beyond technology, Jeff’s other entrepreneurial passions are winemaking and building a better community through non-profit technology education. In 2000 he founded the award winning and critically acclaimed Garfield Estates Vineyard & Winery located in Palisade, CO.
John De Goes
CTO & Co-Founder
John A. De Goes is an architect, author, speaker, and prolific contributor to open source, who has been working in technology for nearly three decades.
A mathematician by training, but a computer scientist by vocation, John has a deep background in big data, distributed systems, and analytics.
His current professional interests lie around developing formal models for doing general-purpose analytics on semi-structured data models.
John is CTO at SlamData, Inc., where he leads product and engineering to develop a next-generation visual analytics solution for semi-structured data.
